I’m post menopausal. I don’t know if this condition has caused my current issues but I would suspect not. Suspect my current issues are related to an IUD and not my uterus placement.

I’m truly saddened by women who have had issues with their uterus(es) but I felt the need to represent the other side of women who have had no real issues with their uterus being retroflexed. In fact, as a younger adult, I believe, I could tell when I was ovulating when most couldn’t. I do agree that it made wearing tampons a bit difficult but I found a way to master that too.

I don’t believe this condition is abnormal but merely what was suggested… a difference between a right-handed or a left-handed person. It’s what makes us unique! I embrace my difference and continue to love myself.

As I’m not really concerned about fertility, it doesn’t seem to be too much of a problem. I’m more worried about my reoccuring Urinary Tract Infections, my severe lower back pain both during and in between menstruation, discomfort during sexual intercourse, my inability to wear a tampon and a tiny problem of incontinence. Whether I choose to have children or not, these other issues are something I must live with day in and day out. I’m feeling really fed up! 🙁
