In reply to cindi.Just had my batholin gland completely removed due to recurrences. This surgery is extremely painful recovery. But it is absolutely worth it.

Mine drain on it’s own after I got cut 3time in one month, I’m getting the surgery, I’m scared it’s gone come back, did yours come back after it drain on its own? Itvwas werid cause right after they cut me, a couple days it was right back, two weeks later it just drain out on me, I’m due for surgery this week, will they still remove the gland if it’s already drain,I’m 45 yrs old and scared Af, any one know anything? To tell me PLEASE?

Good grief ladies …!!!! Well I am 45 on Tuesday …I had for the first time in my life some discomfort or weird pressure feeling at the base of my vaginal hole, I got a mirror and found I had in the area beyond the lips a lump that looked scary as hell.. well today it ha s turned into a mound and I guess I have what you had … will be go I ng to doctor at 1130 oh yeah I looked a second time and a bunch of smaller ones going all the way in my vagina like a cobble stoned path scared to death…

i was prescribed with doxycycline for 1 week but the swelling and pain didnt subside ..it is still there 🙁

Am carol from Kampala Uganda, i developed a bartholin’s cyst 7 years ago,at first was very small as the size of a pea and wasn’t bothered since it didn’t pain at all. One day it burst on it’s own drained and healed but after three months i started feeling it again, it has since kept on increasing in size to the size of a pea, still it doesn’t pain unless i squeeze it. i am scared of having it drained or removed due to the experience from fellow ladies. advise me before it gets out of hand

Super TIGHT JEANS caused my Bathholin’s cyst. Took me a while to realize that the seam(s) of the jeans against my vagina were irritating my vagina. Sitting and walking moves that seams against that very tender area. Also there is spandex in almost all jeans now – and that can be an irritant as well. Further: avoid fragrances in your laundry soaps (or any personal care products) FRAGRANCES ARE IRRITANTS

don’t wear super tight pants – that is what caused mine (irritation from the seam of the pants in the vaginal area. TIGHT PANTS IRRITATE THE VAGINA. ( also many stretch jeans have spandex in them and you could be sensitive to that) leave room around your vagina. hot bath each night (sit in it) took care of mine. It took me a while to realize it was tight jeans doing ‘that’ to me: the seam pressing against my vagina when i sit or walk.

Had a bartholin cyst, went to the emergency room and the doctor drained it and put in a word catheria, the catheria was supposed to be in for 4 weeks, fell out in 2 days. Don’t know if I should go back to the hospital, too painful

I had Bartholin cyst surgery 7 times, then had a Marsupialization. I moved wrong 2 weeks ago and have been having Very sharp pains in the crease of my leg-right side. Where I had the Marsupialization I am unsure if an infection can occur and “back up” into my body and cause problems….and what it would be called so I can research it. Thank you for any help!
